Filming, editing & music.

Filming is all finished now, with only editing and music left to do.
As i am working in a group by myself, it was quite hard to do all the required jobs at once. As i played a part in the film, there were occasions in which i had to direct a shot that i was in, which turned out to be quite difficult. One immediate problem we faced straight away was the lack of a tripod. This meant that all the films shots are quite shaky and unsteady. This can be quite irritating to watch, especially on the close up character dialogue scenes. However, this could be interpreted to be intentional, to give off an effect like used in The Blair Witch Project.

Myself, and 3 of my friends who were helping me, turned up to the location late afternoon. This ensured the best lighting conditions for filming. Ideally, i would of shot it at night, but lack of night vision mode makes this a problem. As we all knew what we were doing, filming got done quite quickly, with multiple angle shots of the same scene. In total, the whole shoot came close to 2 hours. The overall tone of the footage was a lot different from what i intended it to be. A lot of the shots didn't turn out that well, and the acting came across as camp and overdone.

I am editing my movie using iMovie. I have no experience using this software, so editing will be a challenge and a new experience. I plan to incorporate what the software has to offer into my film, such as transitions and effects.

For music, we had to find it from an uncopyrighted source.
The song i have chosen for my film isNine Inch Nails - 37 Ghosts. I chose this because the song has an ambient creepy sound to it, which fits in well with my film. The song is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license. This means i am able to share, copy, distribute and transmit the work, but i must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse me or my use of the work)
